What’s a good basic daily home workout?
Uh oh. Diet time.
However, after our local gym acquired a sales executive rather than a trainer to sell memberships - and managed to spectacularly offend my partner - I'm probably best off working out at home.
Could anyone help me out with some idiot-proof ideas for home workouts? I own:
- one set 10kg dumbbells
- sit-up loops
- yoga mat (and about twelve weeks of experience)
Also, is it better to do small bursts through the day or twenty to thirty minutes of higher intensity exercise?
(Incidentally, I know how to diet... I eat less rubbish.
I'm asking an exercise question. No pills ads please.)

To me, getting the heart rate up is the best way to go about it. Every ones got ‘the’ way to go about fitness. Don’t do an exercise that you hate because you feel you have to. Try a few different things, find something you can almost enjoy and get the heart rate up.
